Water Distiller - Save £££'s and extend the life of your autoclave!

Do you buy de-ionised water? Ever wondered why your autoclave has chalky deposits in the reservoir and chamber? There are 2 possible reasons:- 1) Its been filled with normal tap water or 2) the quality of your de-ionised water may be inconsistent.

Distilling the water yourself guarantees a reliable source of clean water that will not only extend the life of your autoclave but will also extend the life of your surgical instruments. The automatic water distiller is very easy to use, produces over 4 litres of distilled water in only a few hours and can be left running overnight, ensuring a full supply of distilled water for use with your autoclave each day.

SAVE £££'s - This unit can produce 16 litres of distilled water every 24 hours at an average cost of around 8p per litre. No plumbing is required, no cartridges or filters, just fill with tap water and turn on the power!

The distilling process
Water is placed inside the unit and heated. As the temperature rises evaporation increases and the vapour produced is discharged through the ventillation system within the lid. When the water temperature reaches 100ºC, bacteria and viruses begin to be killed off and the boiling water produces steam. As the steam rises into the stainless steel cooling coil within the lid chemicals, salts and other contaminents are left behind. The steam is condensed back into water which flows down through the spout and into the collection bottle.
