VET-PRO 2000 infusion pump

The VET-PRO 2000 multi-functional infusion pump has been designed to combine high levels of safety and performance together with very easy and reliable operation. The VET-PRO 2000 is a light and compact pump, employing advanced technology for maximum user-friendliness and performance. The unit only weighs 760g, it can be easily and safely fitted to I.V. poles and can also be fitted to cage doors when used with the optional quick release cage bracket. A really great feature of the VET-PRO 2000 is it's so easy to operate. The numeric keypad and full text LCD menu screens make changing settings straight forward and fast. Loading of the giving set could not be simpler; open the pumping chamber door and place the tubing in the straight guide groove, then just close the door. The most commonly used of the VET-PRO 2000's six operating programs is the continuous program. This allows the operator to set a specific volume at a specific flow rate. The continuous program is used to maintain fluid levels during anaesthesia and throughout the recovery phase. The VET-PRO 2000 is equipped with a high capacity Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery, so it doesn't suffer from a memory effect, like NI-Cad batteries. You can charge it at anytime without the need to fully the discharge the battery . The higher capacity of Lithium-Ion batteries mean that the duty cycle is also greater. Infact, at a rate of 125ml/hr the unit would operate for a total of 20 hours off one full charge. Recharge time is only 4 hours and you can also use the unit if needed whilst it’s charging off the mains supply. Unlike many infusion pumps offered to veterinary practices, the VET-PRO2000 is small enough (only 760gm) to be mounted on a cage door without the risk of either falling off or damaging the door or hinges. An optional stainless steel cage mounting bracket is available to fit most makes of cages and takes just seconds to fit or remove from the cage yet is extremely secure due to is clever design. The pump incorporates both active and passive safety features and can be configured to fit individual requirements, giving it a true multi-task capability. It is suitable for delivering intravenous fluids, drugs, TPN solutions and blood and can be used in both arterial and venous infusions. The pump is suitable for epidural, subcutaneous and IV applications.
