Cryofunnel™ is a NEW patent pending delivery system which boasts a unique approach to delivery and controlled application of the cryogen.

The patient is ideally placed horizontally on a examining table. The Cryofunnel™ is placed over the lesion and the cryogen sprayed into it. Using this technique will ensure the cryogen is localised to the
lesion and within seconds a layer of LIQUID cryogen collects and can be observed to ‘BOIL’ as it evaporates.

The lesion is frozen immediately and can be monitored as this technique does not obscure the treatment site.

This technique allows treatment of lesions up to 15mm in diameter as well as lesions which protrude from the surface

A cost effective alternative to liquid nitrogen. Dermafreeze™ is a portable cryosurgery unit conveniently packed for easy use and storage. It comes with accessory delivery systems which allows the user to treat skin lesions of any size.

Each Dermafreeze canister contains enough cryogen for about 80 applications.
That's about 62p per application

Aerosol based cryogens have traditionally been accused of failing to achieve an ‘efficient freeze’. These cryogens are liquid gasses under pressure and rapidly expand when released. Existing system either fail to control delivery or use thermoconductive materials which reduce their effectiveness.

The Cryofunnel Delivery System

Features:

  • Cryofunnel ergonomically shaped for easy handling.

  • Channels the cryogen to the site of treatment.
  • Clear material to permit visualisation of treatment area.
  • Made of non-thermoconductive polyethylene.
  • Offer 3 sized apetures to treat lesion from 5mm to 15mm in diameter.
The Cryofunnel™ offers a uniquely efficient way of challenging these problems as it is made from non thermoconductive polyethylene material and has various sized (5mm, 10mm and 15mm) apertures to efficiently channel and control the delivery of the cryogen to the site of treatment. This means that the only source of thermal energy is the area of skin being treated, hence maximising the ‘freeze potential’ of the cryogen. Furthermore the lesion can be easily visualised during treatment.

Facts & Conclusions:

Fact: Dermafreeze™ is the only product that offers you a delivery system which allows controlled delivery of an aerosol based cryogen in its liquid state.

Fact: Tissue destruction occurs at between -25°C and -30°C.

Fact: Dermafreeze™ is -50°C in its liquid state.

Conclusion: Dermafreeze™ is the only aerosol based system which offers a delivery system which demonstrably freezes down to -50*C by limiting thermal energy source from the skin.

Furthermore Dermafreeze™ is also:

  • CFC friendly

  • Non-inflammable

  • Non-toxic to the environment
